I arrived at the Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado, a little before 3:00am. I was hoping for a clear night in which to photograph the Milky Way as it rises over this iconic location. It took about 30 minutes to set up my astrotrac - the tracking device that allows me to photograph the stars using long exposures without producing star trails. <br />
