Inspired by the rich natural environment and historical elements of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, emphasizing community and openness, adopting an organic layout to harmonize with the natural surroundings, utilizing a modular structure for flexible interior spaces, separating functions by floor with public areas on lower levels and office spaces on upper levels, designing for future vertical and horizontal expansion, using sustainable materials like high-efficiency insulation, low-carbon concrete, and renewable wood, incorporating domestic wood for certain structures in alignment with the National Forest Service's demonstration project, integrating solar panels into the exterior design, selecting durable and easy-to-maintain exterior materials, featuring a curved exterior inspired by Daeryongsan Mountain, blending traditional and modern architectural elements, designing open-plan office spaces with minimal partitions, including shared and rest areas on each floor to foster collaboration, placing green and water spaces around and within the building, incorporating renewable energy sources like geothermal and solar power, situating an open plaza at the front for public accessibility, and creating multifunctional spaces to maximize utility, ensuring that the new Gangwon Provincial Government office building stands as an innovative, sustainable, and community-friendly public structure,red copper.
