Perhaps, land feng shui is always one of the big issues that Vietnamese homeowners are always concerned about when it comes to designing and building houses. And at Curved O3O House, its special land position is the biggest problem that NAW studio needs to solve.
Located on a piece of land with an area of 180 m2, facing East - Northeast on My Thi Street, Da Nang City, Curved O3O House has a location that makes the homeowner have many concerns, which is directly facing a street. large temple, and a cemetery in the area. The family's daily activities always face many inconveniences because of this position.
In addition, at the request of the homeowner, the house design must ensure that the living space of the two households living inside must be completely independent in transportation and living, but still be able to communicate conveniently. convenient for each other in everyday life. That means the design must ensure the construction of 2 complete apartments inside the same house.
Based on those requirements, NAW studio devoted a lot of effort to this project to come up with the most optimal solution, solving all the problems raised and the Curved O3O House project was born.
Curved O3O is true to its name, the house is a combination of soft curves from the facade to the interior layout of the house. Curved architecture can create feelings of movement and flow within the house. Curves can attract the eye and provide a sense of continuity while adding interest and aesthetic appeal to architecture.
Right from the facade, the curves are arranged in a certain ratio so that the architectural shape will become the most prominent. Besides, this form of facade is also an effective solution for blocking vision, limiting direct light exposure from the house to the temple as well as vice versa.
Entering the house, there will continue to be eye-catching curves, cleverly divided into pieces, creating diverse visual fields during living. The house consists of a ground floor and 2 floors, with the 1st and 2nd floors belonging to the owner of the first apartment, and the 3rd floor is a second independent apartment. Traffic in the house is divided into 2 main vertical traffic axes, the bridge. The stairs on the 1st and 2nd floors inside the house will be used for apartment 1, and 1 staircase in front of the house throughout the 3 floors and will be the main entrance for the 2nd apartment. Both apartments ensure full functionality. Necessary for living, kitchen, sleeping, working, supporting, etc. Complete for the whole family to live in. The main interior color tone will still be the repetition of white, gray and wood tones combined, promoting simplicity and efficiency in design, as well as expressing the homeowner's personality.
