We know that the crew's Bombardier, Lt. Joe Hackler, is standing upper left, and Tail Gunner Sgt. Dale Morrison is seated lower right. They are the two members of Tom's crew who survived the September 24/44 mission to Salonika Greece. We have also recently learned that Foster Chapman -- the man Tom White had to replace at the last minute as the crew's Radio Operator before they left for Italy -- is seated 3rd from right. <br /> <br /> We believe Pilot Robert Hegmann is standing upper right, but we're hoping that can be confirmed, along with the positions of Co-Pilot Bryson Watts; Navigator Edgar Christian; Engineer & Waist Gunner Walter Stone; Ball Turret Gunner Cecil Smith; Upper Turret Gunner Joseph Cullen; and Nose Gunner Edward Oliveira.
