Umibōzu is a colossal, black sea spirit with a smooth, featureless form resembling a gigantic human head and shoulders rising from the depths. Its body is made of mist and water, and its bottomless eyes stare down at ships that dare come close. Surrounding it, enormous waves churn, and the surface of the sea trembles as it approaches. The ship appears minuscule in comparison to its terrifying form, and each movement sends powerful storms across the ocean.
